AusIMM has announced the programme for its Iron Ore Conference 2021, taking place from 8 – 10 November. Together with CSIRO, AusIMM has created an extensive programme to showcase world-leading knowledge and technologies, bringing expertise straight from the Pilbara to delegates in Perth and online.
With a focus on ‘Sustainability in a Changing World’, the conference will feature over 60 technical presentations, 12 leading industry keynote speakers and thought provoking presentations from BHP, Fortescue Metals Group, Rio Tinto and Roy Hill.

Alongside the conference will be three workshops giving delegates the opportunity to dive deeper into the latest innovations underpinning the iron ore industry, with topics ranging from steelmaking to materials handling:
- Workshop 1: Iron and steelmaking.
- Workshop 2: Iron ore geometallurgy: Characterisation and implications for beneficiation.
- Workshop 3: How to make materials handling decisions.
Workshop one and two will be in person at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and at CSIRO Mineral Resources, Australian Research Resources Centre.
