Australian mining regions continue to have higher incomes and much greater employment than prior to the boom, and that the benefits created by mining will continue into the future.
The research by youth research agency YouthInsight found that only 30% of students surveyed had an interest in a career in mining or the mining equipment, technology and services sectors.
