Global Mining Review,
Although utilised in a low impact application, the pump’s long-standing endurance has been supported through regular light maintenance such as greasing the bearing assembly and glands.
Over the course of three decades, the pump has required minimal upkeep and only minor wear part replacements. Five years ago, the original A05A metal impeller was replaced with a R55® rubber impeller which is still in use today. The R55 premium grade rubber compound has advanced wear properties that further extend the pump’s operational life by several more years.
Throughout the pump’s three decades of service, the customer has never experienced a full plant failure.
