SME has announced a call for abstracts for its next annual conference and expo, MINEXCHANGE 2027, due to take place from 28 February to 3 March 2027 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.

MINEXCHANGE 2027 call for abstracts now open

Each year, a diverse array of international experts from operations, academia, and beyond come together to deliver an unrivalled technical programme featuring the latest knowledge covering all aspects of mining. Join the leaders moving the industry forward by submitting a 100-word abstract online by 1 August 2026.

Areas of interest include bulk material handling, coal and energy, environmental, geology, valuation, tailings, diversity and inclusion, health and safety, industrial minerals and aggregates, mineral and metallurgical processing, and exploration. However, the program committee will consider abstracts covering any/all topics pertaining to the mining and minerals industry. As is SME’s practice, abstracts should cover timely, innovative, and immediately useful information, practice, and developments important for competitive and effective operations.

“Submitting a quality abstract is your best opportunity to play a key role in shaping the world-class technical program at our flagship event”, said Tara Davis, SME Content Development and Program Director. “We look forward to your contributions, which will make an impact on the thousands of attendees looking to advance their knowledge and professional development.”
