Kal Tire expands mining technology services through exclusive transcale dealership agreement in Canada

The agreement expands Kal Tire’s technology services offering for mine operators seeking greater insight into payload optimisation, fleet performance, and operating efficiency.

Through the agreement, Kal Tire will provide sales, service, calibration, training, and operational support for Transcale weighing and volumetric scanning systems across Canada. The company will also offer custom mobile installations, payload studies, and integration support to help customers obtain actionable insights from payload, volume, and density data.

Kal Tire has extensive experience operating Transcale equipment as part of its technology services offering. Historically, the company has conducted weight scale and volumetric studies on mine sites to support applications including brake testing, payload calibration, density verification, and shovel system calibration. In Canada, Kal Tire currently performs 10 to 15 site studies annually and recently delivered a mobile system featuring volumetric scanning technology and Transcale Sealed AS700 scales to an oilsands operation.

The new dealership agreement builds on that foundation, enabling Kal Tire to support customers throughout the full lifecycle of payload monitoring solutions; from equipment selection and installation to operation, maintenance, and performance analysis.

As part of the expanded offering, Kal Tire is also advancing the integration of payload data with its broader technology ecosystem, including KalPRO™ TireSight and TOMS. By combining payload information with tyre and fleet performance data, customers gain a more comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing productivity, equipment utilisation, and tyre performance.

In addition to supplying new Transcale systems, Kal Tire will provide service and calibration support for existing systems in the Canadian market, as well as training and operational services for customers that prefer to outsource payload studies and equipment operation.
