Mastermyne to provide labour to South 32 mining operations

Mastermyne Group Limited has announced that it has been awarded a contract to supply development labour to South 32’s Illawara coal operations at its Appin colliery. This scope of works will be delivered as a variation under the Group’s existing contract with South32.
The new contract scope is for the provision of mine roadway development services which is expected to employ 130 personnel and deliver annual revenues of approximately US$20 million. The work will be performed in parallel with the company’s existing contract for the provision of services, which is primarily process works and supplementary labour in the Appin mine longwall area. The company expects that the combined workforce numbers will average around 280 personnel with increases during peak periods.
The company’s initial contract with South32 commenced in November 2016 for a term of two years with a further one year option and the development services will average around 280 personnel with increases during peak periods.
