RCT strengthens presence in Chile

Autonomous solutions provider RCT has opened an office in Santiago, Chile to provide business and technical support to existing and potential clients in the regional mining industry.

Situated in the business district of Las Condes the office represents the latest develop in RCT’s longstanding business dealings in the country, which span nearly 20 years.

The office is home to a core group of multilingual staff comprising a business development team and an engineering and field servicing team with space to accommodate additional staff in the future.

RCT Business Manager – South America Rafael Tarud has welcomed the opportunity to host mining industry figures at the office in order to better understand their company’s needs.

“We are now better placed to service mining companies throughout the Latin American region with our local engineers able to respond quickly to developing situations and enquiries,” he said.

“RCT has worked in Chile for a long time including delivering automation projects at the El Teniente copper mine for Codelco and our new office will help us to provide additional support to existing and new projects.

“We welcome the opportunity to engage with the regional mining industry and share our expertise to deliver real benefits.”
