Algold announces management changes

Canadian gold explorer and developer Algold Resources Ltd has apponted Benoit La Salle as CEO of the company. La Salle is to continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Algold, a position that he has occupied since early 2013.
La Salle has over 20 years of experience in the development and operation of mining projects in West Africa.
In 1995, he founded Canadian-based SEMAFO Inc., which expanded from a junior explorer to a +250 000 oz/yr gold producer in West Africa. La Salle has been, and remains, a key stakeholder – an investor, a chairman a board member or an executive of numerous public and private sector companies, mainly in the mining, energy and clean technology sectors.
Concurrently, the former CEO of the company, Francois Auclair M.Sc, FGAC, PGeo, is to assume role of Executive Vice-President of Exploration, concentrating on the successful execution and development of the Algold Tijirit Gold Project in Mauritiana.
