Toro Gold appoints new CFO

Toro Gold has announced the appointment of Martin Page as Chief Financial Officer of the company. Following on from the retirement of Gary Townsend, previously announced on 10 May 2018, Page will commence work on the 8 October 2018.
Townsend will stay with the company on a reduced hours basis to provide continuity and support over the next 12 months to ensure a smooth transition.
Martin Horgan, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, commented: “I am delighted that Martin has joined our company at this exciting stage of our growth. He has highly relevant experience in West Africa gold mining and development and is ideally placed to continue the good work completed by Gary Townsend and team over the last nine years.
“We wish Gary all the very best for his retirement and thank him for his hard work and the important part he has played in our current success.
“Despite the challenge of having two senior executives named Martin in the company, we look forward to updating you on our progress over the coming months as we continue to identify and deliver on those opportunities to grow the company.”
