Coro Mining Corp. appoints Nelson Mendoza as General Manager of its SCM Berta Operation

Coro Mining Corp, announce the appointment of Mr. Nelson Mendoza to the newly-created role of General Manager of Coro’s SCM Berta operation effective September, 2017.

Mr. Mendoza has more than 35 years of experience in the operation of mineral processing plants, 17 years of which was focused on Solvent Extraction & Electrowinning plants similar to those at the SCM Berta operation.

Mr. Mendoza studied civil metallurgy engineering at the Universidad de Concepcion in Chile. His experience includes operational oversight of processing plants, strategic operations planning, budgeting and meeting production targets. Mr. Mendoza recently served as Superintendent of Minera las Cenizas’ Taltal oxide plant, 400 km south of Antofagasta which has a production capacity of 8 000 to 12 000 t of copper per year, where he worked with Coro CEO Luis Tondo.

Luis Tondo commented:
