Swann Group launches Skein

The group, established in 1993, has developed a group of brands focused on providing leadership search and support services to capital-intensive industries, with a particular emphasis on mining. These brands include Swann, experts in board level and executive leadership search, and Cygnet, specialists in building and developing site-based management teams.

Now, with the launch of Skein, the group plans to substantially build on its existing track record of coaching, consulting, and advisory work, and to expand the sectors it supports.

Tom Harris, Group CEO, explained: “After successfully piloting the Skein concept during what has been an unusual year for everyone, it’s time to launch Skein as a complementary brand to Swann and Cygnet.

Skein’s Managing Director is the highly respected consultant and coach, Dr Tom Aldridge. Tom’s background ranges from divisional CEO for a FTSE 100 company to Partner and consultant for large change management consultancies. His work as a consultant and team dynamics coach has taken him all over the world, including Africa, Russia, Asia, the Americas, and Europe.

Dr Aldridge added: “It’s an exciting time to be bringing these services to our global clients. We have an impressive team of experienced consultants and coaches who have worked in senior leadership positions and have personal experience dealing with the challenges our clients face.”

With experience within and beyond mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure, Skein will spearhead the Swann Group’s expansion beyond its traditional sectors and help the group fulfil its ambitious growth plans.
