Prosper Gold Corp. appoints new board member

Prosper Gold Corp. announces the appointment of Dexter John to the Board of Directors, effective immediately. Mr. John is an independent director and brings strong qualifications and skills to the Board.

As Executive Vice President of D. F. King, Canada's preeminent corporate governance, proxy solicitation firm. Dexter is responsible for growing the Canadian business and managing the corporation. He has over 20 years of experience in the capital markets and has spent six years in structured finance where he executed over $4 billion in transactions. Mr. John also brings with him a strong knowledge of corporate law and a thorough understanding of the financial markets. Dexter has worked at a major Canadian law firm as a Securities Associate, focusing on the public equities market with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions.

In addition, Dexter also has experience through his career at the Investment Dealers Association (now IIROC), Ontario Securities Commission and the Toronto Stock Exchange. Dexter recently resigned as Chairman of the Board of Partners Real Estate Investment Trust and currently is still a board member of Augustine Ventures Inc. a gold exploration company that recently merged with Red Pine Exploration. Dexter holds a Bachelor of Arts, an LL.B. designation and the ICD designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors
