DWF, the global legal business, has advised eEnergy Group plc (formally known as Alexander Mining PLC) on the reverse takeover of Irish incorporated eLight Group Holdings Ltd, the raising of £2 million of new equity, the disposal of the legacy mining technology business and the re-admission to AIM.

The UK and Ireland DWF team is led by Ross Little, Head of Corporate in Ireland, and Jeremy Swift, Newcastle-based Corporate Partner. Together, they have provided legal advice to eEnergy Group plc on the acquisition of e-Light Group Holdings Limited and associated fund raising, re-admission to AIM and the disposal of MetaLeach Limited. Little and Swift were supported by DWF colleagues based in UK and Ireland.

Commenting on the deal, Little said: "We are delighted to have advised eEnergy Group on the acquisition of eLight and an associated fund raising and re-admission to AIM and the disposal of MetaLeach Limited. We look forward to supporting eEnergy to deliver its ambitious growth strategy

Swift commented: "This deal further demonstrates DWF's strength in advising clients with international operations in the energy tech sector. Tech deals have already accounted for over a third of our deals this financial year and we continue to see strong activity in the sector into the New Year."
