He has vast experience from managing exploration projects, and also relevant competence from the mining sector.

“I have been looking forward to getting Johan back in the team. We have had a very good relationship since he left the company so he is ready to step in and have an immediate impact on our exploration work. With our very encouraging resource estimate we are even more confident that we are on the right track. Johan will focus on increasing our resource estimate, and also ramp up the general exploration activity,” said Jørgen Evjen, CEO of Akobo Minerals.

“Coming back to Akobo and the amazing geology there is a fantastic opportunity and I am very pleased to get another chance to work with our very competent Ethiopian geology team. Ever since I first visited Ethiopia, I have carried a torch for the country and its people, it is simply an amazing place to work and the spectacular gold endowment of the Akobo region is a dream for any exploration geologist.”
