MST Global have announced the upcoming release of their new smartphone and network solution, Cortex. The phone and network will be used as the primary communication solution for harsh underground environments.
The Cortex solution has push-to-talk, VoIP, a voice and messaging server, tracking capability and emergency broadcast functionality. These features allow personnel underground to communicate with one another and the control room, via preferred communication method. For customers of the MST MinePhone (MP71), the Cortex solution seamlessly integrates with this product.
“The benefit of using this communication solution is it’s an all in one solution. Mines and tunnelling projects no longer need to have multiple products from suppliers for their phones, networks, radios and VoIP applications. Our Cortex solution bundles this all together making it easier to manage and support,” said Jeremy Hanrahan, Software Product Manager, MST Global.
MST Global will be sharing with attendees of the International Mining and Resources Conference + Expo (IMARC, 28 - 31 October 2019) a look at the Cortex smart phone.
