Global Mining Review,
Jameson Resources has announced the first authorisation for preliminary design engineering for the Crown Mountain metallurgical coal project.
Spoil and refuse disposal techniques are an important component of opencast mining, as they affect many facets of the environment (wildlife habitat, water quality, etc.). Jameson has selected two leading expert firms in this subject: SKR Consulting of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Enviromin Inc. of Bozeman, Montana.
SKR Consulting will lead this effort and Enviromin will team with SRK.
SRK is a recognised expert in environmental matters related to mine design and operation. Enviromin is skilled in successful mitigation of water quality issues related to selenium association with opencast mining.
