Winsome Resources remains on track to update its Mineral Resource Estimate at its 100% owned Adina Lithium Project in the first half of this year, as drilling continues to deliver strong assay results.

Winsome Resources to update maiden MRE at lithium project

Managing Director Chris Evans said the recent declaration of an MRE of 59 million t at 1.12% lithium at Adina placed Winsome in the heart of the Canadian lithium conversation.

“Located in the James Bay region of Quebec, this project is among the top five largest lithium resources in North America, and this position will only strengthen when we update our MRE figure,” Chris said.

“We have had five drill rigs on site for the past few months to guide this update, while simultaneously conducting development and environmental studies at Adina.

“Importantly, we have also maintained consultation with representatives from the Eeyou Istchee James Bay Cree people and other local stakeholders in Quebec.

“The resource update will enable Winsome to progress the development pathway we envision for this remarkable site, with initial project studies anticipated to be published in the second half of 2024.

“While there is still a long way to go before we reach development, the future for our Adina Lithium Project is looking bright.”

“We are delighted to be attending PDAC again this year as the global conversation around lithium demand and the growing need for renewable technologies continues to heat up,” Chris added.

“Our team is excited to meet with local representatives and global industry leaders, in what has been a tumultuous time for the mining industry.

“We appreciate there has been a significant shift in the lithium market which impacts all explorers and producers focused on discovering and delivering both hard rock and brine projects.

“Despite this, Winsome has a clear corporate strategy to ride the different market cycles, a strong cash position and a dedicated team focused on adding more tonnage to our Adina MRE.

“Like all cycles, the pendulum will eventually swing back in favour of this critical mineral, as the long-term macro forecasts for lithium demand remain clear throughout the emerging energy transition.”
