Mining giant Rio Tinto’s Pilabara operations produced 85 million t in 3Q17, increasing by 6% compared to the previous quarter.
Chris Lynch intends to retire from Rio Tinto as the Chief Financial Officer at the end of September 2018.
The company’s AUS$338 million project will produce low-cost ore in order to maintain Rio Tinto’s Pilabara Blend product.
The Company is in the process of mobilizing one drill rig to the deposit, which is based within the Colombian copper-gold San Matias project.
To meet demand, Savannah will begin construction immediately, with an aim to finish by the end of 2017.
