sensmore, a Berlin/Potsdam-based robotics startup, has secured US$7.3 million in funding to bring Physical AI to the world’s largest mobile machinery.

As Europe’s foundational industries reach a critical inflection point, the pressure to adapt has never been greater. As labour shortages deepen and operational costs rise, sensmore supports important sectors like construction, mining, and raw materials, with truly transformational automation that is robust, scalable, and built for the field. The company is uniquely positioned to utilise its cutting-edge technology stack to deliver robust, modular solutions that work in the field today.

Highlights:

  • Spearheading the era of Physical AI, sensmore is driving Europe’s reindustrialisation by automating heavy mobile machines at fleet scale.
  • Customers like CEMEX and Lhoist are already seeing results from full rollouts in some of the continent’s largest quarry operations.
  • For the first time in heavy mobile machines, end-to-end AI is combined with Vision-Language-Action Models (VLAMs) to solve complex real-world tasks without prior training.
  • Point Nine Capital leads the funding round, joined by international investors and angels, with additional support from the EU.

CTO and co-founder, sensmore, Bjarne Johannsen, said:

"Like Figure AI does for humanoids, we use a multimodal system that combines vision, language, and action context to solve complex real-world tasks, even those the machine has never seen before.”

Ricardo Sequerra Amram, Partner at Point Nine, commented:

“sensmore is pioneering a new era of intelligent automation for heavy machines. What sets them apart is their ability to translate cutting-edge AI research into robust, modular solutions that work in the field today. Their deep customer collaboration and exceptional technical team are laying the foundation for a new wave of reindustrialisation across mining, construction, and beyond.”
