Trigg completes acquisition of Queensland gold tenement package

Trigg Minerals Limited has completed the acquisition of 90% interests in four new licence areas comprising 431 km2 in northern Queensland from Boadicea Resources Limited (BOA) (the Tenements).

The transfer of ownership of the Tenements is subject to final approval by the Queensland Government Department of Resources. In the interim, the companies have executed a deed under which TMG will assume the operating rights and expenditure commitments for the Tenements on behalf of BOA.

The completion of the acquisition of 90% interests in the Clarke Reward (EPM27834) and Mt Carmel (EPM27991) licences in the Drummond Basin region and, the West Ravenswood (EPM27752) licence in the Charters Towers area confirms Trigg’s position as a significant gold explorer in the region west of regional centre of Townsville.

Clarke Reward and Mt Carmel cover an area of 214 km2, highlighted by highly anomalous magnetic features in a structural position at the margin of the Drummond Basin and the Anakie Metamorphics. Trigg has also acquired a 90% interest in the newly-granted Bosworth tenement (EPM28419), which is contiguous to the West Ravenswood licence.

The Drummond Basin and Charters Towers regions are highly prospective for epithermal and intrusive-related gold mineralisation, and Trigg is looking forward to now take its place as a prominent gold explorer in the Drummond Basin and Charters Towers region.

Trigg’s team is completing target assessment through the extensive digital database available for the project, and after a period of inclement weather affecting access, Trigg can now access the Drummond Basin projects. Trigg is now undertaking a pre-campaign assessment of drill pads and access roads, which will inform the timing of its planned drilling programme.

Executive Chairman Timothy Morrison said: “We are pleased to have completed this acquisition which expands our portfolio and provides more potential gold targets for exploration. It is our goal to advance these new projects concurrent to already planned activity, which will add valuable targets for an expanded campaign.”
