Global Mining Review,
Australia’s mining sector has acknowledged the contribution of the Member for Perth and Shadow Minister Assisting for Resources Tim Hammond MP to both Parliament and the mining industry. Hammond is resigning from Parliament to spend more time with his family.
In a statement, the Minerals Council of Australia (MCA) described Hammond as ‘a valuable source of advice’ while contributing to the MCA’s Policy Roundtable and building relationships between the MCA’s member companies and the Federal Parliamentary Labor Party.
The MCA also praised Hammond’s ‘diligence in working with the industry to understand and follow up significant policy and business matters’.
