ICBC Standard Bank appoints Head of Trading to precious metals team

ICBC Standard Bank Plc (the bank) has announced the appointment of Eric Parker as Head of Trading, Precious Metals, in the Global Markets division of the bank. Parker will be reporting to Katarina Cvijovic, Head of Precious Metals.
Parker will be responsible for the risk management of the global precious metals trading business and will leverage his considerable experience to provide strategic direction to the team. This new role further strengthens the trading capability of the commodities business.
With 25 years of experience, Parker joins the bank from RC Trading in New York, where he was a founding team member of a proprietary trading desk specialising in metals and FX. Prior to this, he spent 18 years at Deutsche Bank where he most recently held the role of Global Head of Precious Metals in the bank’s New York office.
Commenting on the appointment, Katarina Cvijovic said: “Eric has a strong track-record of leading precious metals trading teams over the course of his career to date. His extensive working knowledge of the precious metals market, coupled with a clear ability to think strategically and galvanise new approaches to trading, makes him a strong addition to the team. I look forward to working with him as we continue to grow our Precious Metals business.”
