Liebherr-Baumaschinen Vertriebs und Service GmbH has acquired Libero Baumaschinen GmbH & Co.KG and Libero Bau und Industriemaschinen GmbH and following the takeover will be responsible for the company’s earthmoving business activities.
As part of the acquisition, Liebherr will take over Libero's existing sales and service network, including all of its sites and all employees, who will be integrated into the existing area structures. The company will continue with rental operations.
The Liebherr Group maintains a global sales and service network which, depending on the region and product area, will be either a separate Liebherr company or an external partner. Libero has been a sales and service partner for Liebherr customers for decades and has maintained continued and steady growth under the management of Burkhard Vorwerk.
As part of the succession plan, Libero has decided to transfer business activities to Liebherr. The acquisition provides an expanded network of subsidiaries, giving Liebherr further opportunity to operate in the earthmoving machinery and equipment rental market.
