Metso to deliver additional plant equipment to South32’s critical minerals project

Metso has been awarded additional orders for the delivery of crushing, grinding, automation, and pump plant equipment for South32’s greenfield Hermosa project in the Patagonia Mountains, southern Arizona.

Metso to deliver additional plant equipment to South32’s critical minerals project

Part of the order was booked in the Minerals segment’s 3Q24 and 4Q24 order intake, and the balance is booked in 1Q25.

Metso’s scope of delivery includes a Nordberg® HP pebble crusher, Vertimill® regrind mills, Courier® on-stream analysers, PSI® particle size analysers, LSA and MSA samplers, VF Series vertical froth pumps, MD Series mill discharge pumps, Orion Series slurry pumps, and VS Series sump pumps.
