Mexus announces first significant production of gold at its Santa Elena mine

Mexus Gold US has recently announced that it is now capable of producing gold from its Santa Elena mine in Mexico on a daily basis.
The company has arranged for the sale of 32 oz of gold from two activated carbon cells using the electrowinning gold recovery system which was started on 24 Febraury 2020. The company has an additional 65 oz of gold being processed, bringing the total to date to 97 oz of gold.
Under current conditions, Mexus will be able to produce 5-7 oz/d of gold, with the goal of increasing to 10 oz/d of gold by 30 March 2020. The company’s goal is to be producing 100 oz of gold per week by 1 May 2020.
Mexus CEO, Paul Thompson Sr, said: “It is with great satisfaction that the company can announce this accomplishment. It will continue to build upon with production and push to meet the long-term goal of becoming a 100 000 oz/y gold producing company.”
