The High-Performance Mining Conference brings together an international audience of experts to inspire change in the global mining industry and make the mine of the future tangible.
Organised by the Institute for Advanced Mining Technologies (AMT) at RWTH Aachen University and co-organised by VDMA Mining, the conference has a strong industry focus and provides a unique platform not only for inspirational content but to form new partnerships between operators and suppliers and with academic research partners.
This year, the conference will feature a large business delegation from Canada through the MICA mine innovation program, presenting an additional opportunity to forge transnational partnerships.
The programme contains two days filled with presentations and discussions on benchmark projects in technology development and deployment, technology innovation, process optimisation and responsible mining practices. Session themes include new frontiers in automatisation, digitalisation and decarbonisation, as well as non-technological challenges. Presentations will focus on an integrated approach to considering people, technology, and the environment of innovation processes and transformation. The conference is designed to be a platform not only for inspirational content, but to form new partnerships and meet many experts from industry and research, from within and outside of Germany. Networking will be facilitated through a designated exhibition area and an exclusive evening reception. A Canadian business delegation focused on mining innovation will enhance the program and provide additional networking opportunities.
