The Elko Convention & Visitors Authority has hosted the annual Elko mining Expo the first full week of June since 1985, making it one of the oldest, most respected mining expos in the US.
Exhibitors and visitors from around the world travel to Elko to view and learn about the newest equipment and technology in the mining industry. The Expo serves as both a professional networking opportunity as well as a community and industry appreciation event.
The event week begins with its popular Elko Mining Expo Golf Tournament on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday evening there is an opening reception for exhibitors and industry representatives to network and socialise. Exhibit days are Thursday and Friday. There are many other gatherings and events organised by exhibiting companies and mining associations which take place throughout the week, including a benefit concert on Thursday evening.
