Gold Fields and Asanko secure government approval for completion of JV

Globally diversified gold producer Gold Fields Ltd (Gold Fields) and African-focused gold producer Asanko Gold (Asanko) have been granted regulatory approval by the Ghanaian Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, the principal condition to closing the joint venture (JV) transaction between the two gold companies.
The transaction is expected to be complete by early July 2018.
