Metso has been awarded orders by GR Engineering Services (GRES) to deliver key minerals processing technology for Develop Global’s Yitirrti (formerly called Sulphur Springs) copper-zinc-silver project in Western Australia. The value of the order, which is not disclosed, has been booked in the Minerals segment’s 2Q26 orders received.

The Yitirrti project is a high-grade copper-zinc-silver deposit located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The processing plant has a capacity of approximately 1.5 million tpy and is progressing toward pre-production.

“Yitirrti is a key copper-zinc-silver development for us and getting the process plant right is critical as we move through construction. Metso’s proven technology, process expertise, and local support gave us confidence in their equipment package as we bring this exciting project into production in Western Australia”, says Kurt Tiedemann, Group Principal Metallurgist at Develop Global.

Metso’s scope of delivery covers the design, manufacture, testing, and delivery of process technology for the concentrator supporting copper and zinc processing. The equipment package consists of Metso’s Nordberg® C Series™ jaw crusher and Nordberg HP450e™ cone crushers, an apron feeder as well as TankCell®?flotation cells, thickeners, Stirred Media Detritor (SMD) regrind mills, and slurry analysers.

“We are excited to be selected as a key technology partner for the Yitirrti project. The scope reflects the strength of our integrated offering across this type of flowsheet. Our proximity to the site through our Karratha Service Centre will provide a strong platform for ongoing aftermarket support as the project moves into operation”, says David Tulloch, Vice President, Minerals, Asia Pacific at Metso.

Metso’s solutions are designed to support efficient, reliable, and sustainable minerals processing. The broad portfolio of comminution, flotation, and dewatering technologies enables customers to achieve high recovery rates, improved resource efficiency, and optimised lifecycle performance in base metals processing.
