Mader Group appoints new CEO

Mader Group has announced the appointment of Justin Nuich as CEO, effective Thursday 28 January 2021.

Mader’s Non-Executive Chairman, Jim Walker, said that Nuich is well equipped for the position, having over 20 years’ experience in the mining and oil and gas industries globally.

“Justin is an impressive business leader with significant experience in the mining and oil and gas sectors. He takes the lead at an exciting time in the company’s growth and development,” he said.

Nuich has extensive leadership experience and a successful track record in maintenance management, having held senior roles with Fortescue Metals Group, Mineral Resources Ltd, BHP, AMCi Wireless, and most recently, as Director Operations at Salt Lake Potash.

The current CEO, Patrick Conway, will remain as an Executive Director, moving into the role of Director Emerging Businesses, where he will place a targeted focus on strategic diversification for the Mader business.

“We welcome Patrick to his new role as the Director Emerging Businesses. We believe that this management transition will equip Mader with the right executive skills and capabilities to deliver on our significant potential,” Walker continued.

Commenting on the appointment, Nuich said he is thrilled to be taking on the role.

“I am both humbled and excited to be joining the team. Mader’s reputation is far reaching and renowned for its progressive nature and strong culture,” he added.

“I intend to drive the business forward and improve on its leading market position with a strong focus on safety, building opportunities for our people, and delivering outstanding service to our valued customers.”

Nuich is currently a Director of Mader, having joined the Board on 1 January 2019.
