The impressive response confirms the event’s global reach and its role as a leading platform for innovation and knowledge exchange in the mining industry.
The highest number of submissions came from Peru (290), followed by Brazil (50), Australia (43), Canada (38), Chile (36), and the United States (34). These figures highlight the leadership of the Americas and Oceania in generating technical knowledge, along with the active participation of European and Asian countries such as China, India, Japan, Germany, and Poland.
The most popular topics were “Mining Science & Innovation,” “AI & Data-Driven Decision Making,” and “Process Innovation, Circularity & Recovery,” all reflecting the industry’s growing emphasis on efficiency, digitalisation, and sustainability for the mining of the future.
Notifications of acceptance and invitations to submit full papers will be sent on October 28, 2025. Final papers must be submitted by 15th January 2026, with final notifications to be released on 12 February 2026, and the official program to be published on 23 April 2026.
The World Mining Congress 2026 will take place from 24 – 26 June 2026, in Lima, Peru, bringing together industry leaders, government representatives, academia, and international organisations under the theme: “Mining for the future: Trust, Technology and Transformation”.
