Canadian gold mining company Continental Gold Inc. (Continental) has reported that a residence, in which some of the company’s exploration geologists and contractors were staying, was criminally attacked last night.
This tragedy took place in the village of Ochalí in the municipality of Yaramul (Colombia) which is located within the boundaries of the company’s Berlin project.
According to Continental, details at this point are unclear as to the severity of the attack but the worst is feared.
The company is assisting the authorities and is working with the families affected.
