Kingston Resources Ltd has appointed geologist Mike Woodbury BSci (hons) FAusIMM FSEG MAIG, as Exploration Manager of the Misima Gold project in Papua New Guinea. With more than 20 years of international exploration experience (including four years at Misima with the Placer Dome exploration team) Mike is in a good position to rapidly advance Kingston’s exploration strategy on the project.

“We’re very happy to have someone of Mike’s calibre joining the team on Misima,” commented Kingston’s Managing Director, Andrew Corbett. “Mike’s skillset complements that of the existing team who have been working on Misima for several years, in particular, our Project Manager, Charles Yobone and Project Geologist, Kolbe Bare”.

During his career, Mike has explored for gold and base metals in Australia and internationally, including time in Papua New Guinea, Greenland, West Africa, Romania and more recently, Mongolia. This background has given Mike a strong understanding of epithermal gold-silver deposits and porphyry copper-gold systems, both of which are directly relevant to the Misima project. Mike will be working closely with Charles Yobone BSci, Misima Project Manager, and Kolbe Bare BSci, Project Geologist.
