3rd workshop on advanced ultrasupercritical power plant
The IEA Clean Coal Centre’s 3rd Workshop on Advanced Ultrasupercritical Power Plant (AUSC3) returns to Rome on 13-14 December 2017. The development and demonstration of metal alloys able to operate at steam conditions of at least 700°C is essential for raising the efficiency of coal power plant towards 50% and beyond, and holds enormous potential for reducing global CO2 emissions. AUSC3 will bring together the key research programmes in this field worldwide and highlight the progress made since the last edition.
Hosted in association with the Centro Sviluppo Materiali, this year’s event will feature the latest findings of the EU research consortium: Demonstration Plant 700°C (DP700) whose members include Doosan Babcock, CSM, Cranfield University, DEKRA, TU Chemnitz, TU Darmstadt, TU Gratz and VTT.
We also welcome submissions from all other researchers in the field and anticipate a truly international event, with previous editions having assembled 70-80 delegates from leading manufacturers and research institutes in the EU, USA, Japan, China, Russia, and Korea. Please submit your abstract at http://www.ausc3.com/ by 1 August 2017.
